Graffer Hut at Grostè

Grostè's Sail

This project focuses on the redevelopment and expansion of the G. Graffer Refuge, located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Adamello Brenta Natural Park. The intervention addresses functional and structural issues, including an inefficient layout, outdated restrooms, and limited capacity to meet growing visitor demand. Key upgrades include a new internal staircase, an expanded kitchen and dining area with 60 additional seats, and improved restroom facilities. The project maintains the refuge’s architectural identity using local materials such as wood and stone, while incorporating eco-friendly solutions to minimize environmental impact. The goal is to enhance the guest experience, improve management efficiency, and ensure safety, all while respecting the surrounding natural landscape and adhering to sustainable tourism principles.
